The Luxewalk candles are made of premium soy and coconut wax blends and exotic fragrances. We do not add paraffin to our wax composition. The candles we produce are made of natural ingredients and they are bio-degradable.
The Soy and Coconut waxes burn clean and for much longer duration. The exact duration depends on the size of container and environmental conditions in which the candle is burnt. However, in ambient temperature of about 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), our "Personal Collection" candles can burn for about 40 hours (or more). It is also important to follow the candle care tips and best practices to get optimum performance and experience from the product. For example, one should always trim the wick to 1/4th of an inch before lighting the candle each time. Always allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the jar before extinguishing, which might take about 2-3 hours. Doing so will allow the candle to consume the wax evenly across the surface and prevent "tunnelling".
Candle making is like brewing wine. Like wine takes time to develop desired taste while it brews, the candles also need brewing (curing) for optimum performance and a great scent throw. Luxewalk candles are cured for at least 2-3 weeks before they are sold in market / exhibitions or shipped to customers.
We use Soy and Coconut wax blends to produce candles, and these waxes are so soft that they cannot be casted in a pillar mould. There are no such things like ‘pillar soy’ or ‘pillar coconut’ wax candle. If you find one, the wax blend will most likely have Paraffin content in it.
We choose to work with soy and coconut waxes for couple of reasons. Firstly, these waxes are natural since they are obtained from agricultural crops of Soy and Coconut. Being natural & organic, these waxes are bio-degradable, sustainable and 100% renewable. Secondly, these waxes burn cleaner – and better yet – for a longer period of time. Whereas Paraffin is a petroleum by-product, and it emits fumes that contain harmful gases similar to burning Diesel. Palm wax is also a good choice, but it doesn't have great scent throw in comparison to Soy and Coconut waxes.
It’s all about quality v/s quantity. You might get very good-looking colored candles in fancy packaging, with great scent throw, and at a lot cheaper price, but they may cost you your health. Most likely such candles either totally have Paraffin in them or have a high ratio of Paraffin in the blend. Paraffin-based candles or other wax candles with Paraffin blends can be lot cheaper because of the low-cost raw material, but they are not good for health and can cause serious respiratory diseases like asthma and even cancer. They also produce lot of soot that floats into the air as the candle burns and gets into lungs causing long-term health issues. In case of pregnant women, such inferior quality candles can harm the fetus also. Luxewalk candles use pure ingredients, organic waxes, high quality fragrances, and cotton wicks that are primed carefully for optimum performance in a perfectly formed melt pool. Cheaper candles may also use lead-based wicks that are highly toxic. A premium quality aroma candle might be little expensive, but they are worth the price if you are concerned about health and wellbeing.
Natural / organic waxes have an uneven texture that causes rough tops. If your candle has a rough top when you buy it new, or it looks like so after putting off a lighted candle when the wax pool cools down and solidifies, it indicates that the candle is made of pure natural waxes. Rough tops neither indicate poor quality, nor they affect the burning properties or performance of the candle. Once the candle is lit and the surface wax melts, the rough top will disappear.
Most candles develop these holes depending on the ambient temperature at the time of pouring and curing them. These are natural surface properties, which will go away once the candle is lit. Most candle brands use a hot air gun to re-melt the top surface so that these holes get covered-up and the purchaser feels satisfied by seeing a smooth top. However, re-melting the top layer after the candle is produced tends to vaporize the initial fragrance, compromising the candle's performance. This is one of the reasons why we do not follow that process and prefer to keep the candles as natural as possible. Please do not worry, these holes are not a sign of any imperfections or malfunctioning, neither they mean reduced wax weight due to air bubbles. The weight of every Luxewalk candle is weighed upon pouring. After the candles have cured, they are weighed again before packaging.
This is technically called ‘sweating’ in candle terminology. In certain climatic conditions organic candles may ‘sweat’ that could cause some portion of the blend to loosen up from the binding and find its way on to the surface. This is normal and usually settles down back again once the candle is lit. It doesn't indicate a quality or performance issue.
Tunnelling is the result of many factors, such as poor wax and ingredients in a candle, improper usage of candle, extremely cold ambient temperatures, etc. Luxewalk candles do not tunnel, because they are made of best of the best quality waxes and other ingredients such as fragrances and wicks. Also, the wax has a low melt point, which melts without requiring much heat. If at all you see your Luxewalk candle tunnelling, please make sure to burn it for at least 2-3 hours so that the top surface of the candle melts completely from edge to edge. We do not recommend wrapping aluminium foil around the candle jar, which many people do to fix tunnelling. While this technique may work in paraffin-based candles, it is not required for Luxewalk candles. Rather an aluminium foil wrap could cause significantly higher temperatures to accumulate inside the jar and may cause more than required wax to melt due to excessive heat. This may be dangerous, hence it must be avoided.
Luxewalk candles use a premium blend of Soy and Coconut waxes, and thus these candles should be stored in ambient temperature range of 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). Exposing a Luxewalk candle to higher temperatures may cause it to melt or ‘sweat’ heavily. For long-term storage, please avoid places that get direct sunlight, and it is advisable to cover the top with its original packing or a lid to help preserve the fragrance strength. Never leave a Luxewalk candle in car's dashboard or inside a locked car, as the inside temperatures may go too high that could cause the wax to melt and flow out of the container if the candle is lying in horizontal position. Such a situation can also cause fire hazard and serious damages.
Luxewalk candles go through a sanitization process at pre-production and post-production stages. In case you notice any spots on the outer packaging or on the glass jar, it is the dried sanitizer that we’ve sprayed. Once you open the packet, everything inside is safe to touch.
We ship candles throughout the year. Whether it is chilly winters, rainy reason or hot summers, nothing stops us from sharing the Luxewalk experience with its fans. In hot climate, we use thermal insulation to protect the candles from melting during transit. The thermal insulation prevents the transient heat from reaching the wax in the packaging and has been designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 40°C (104°F) considering the Indian climatic conditions.
We ship the orders within 3 business days of receiving them, which usually get delivered in 1-2 business days. However, due to Covid-19 outbreak in the country, it might take little-bit longer sometimes, depending on the local situations in each state and the restrictions imposed by the respective state governments. Although we have strategic tie-ups with some of the leading delivery services companies that allow us to schedule priority pick-ups in such eventualities, any unusual delays are duly communicated to customers in advance so that they are kept updated on the ETA.
Not currently, but we are working to make it happen. We will put-up a notification on our website as soon as we start delivering the Luxewalk experience across the planet.
Once your order is shipped, you'll receive a tracking link on your registered mobile phone number and e-mail (if you provided it).

The testing kit has seven mesmerizing fragrances: Arabian Nights, Treasure Island, Lavender, Black Beauty, Satin Soft, Serenity, and No Smoking.
The purpose of selling these tealights is to let our customers experience the fragrances and quality of Luxewalk candles through these samplers. When a customer who has already purchased the tealights kit decides to buy a scented candle (for example, from our “Personal Collection”), the amount of money spent by them on tealights is deducted from the invoice. Hence, our intention is to sell all the seven fragrances as a bundle, as a one-time only purchase for a customer to try them out.
Each tealight lasts for about 2-3 hours when lit.
